(EASY VOYAGE) Waimea Canyon, Hawaii Located within the Waimea Canyon State Park on the island of Kauai is Hawaii's Waimea Canyon. It is known as the Grand Canyon of the Pacific and is 14 miles long and over a mile wide. The Waimea River helped erode the surrounding landscape to form the canyon, which revealed layers of lava rock.
